This indigenous pure breed originates from the Lleyn Peninsular, North Wales. Lleyn ewes are renowned for their hardiness, tight fleece with fine wool and high lambing percentage. The lively born lambs have a good wool cover, and have the ability to thrive and produce prime lambs, crossed with a Charollais or pure bred. All this at low input at a high stocking rate.
